Called “PoE Power Usage” shown in percentage, the front panel of the IPOE-E174 has three LEDs indicating 25, 50 and 75 percent of PoE power usage. With these LED indications, you can monitor the PoE power status of the IPOE-E174 efficiently.

The IPOE-E174 is quite easy to be installed by simple plug and play. It is used between a Power Source Equipment (PSE) and the Powered Device (PD). The IPOE-E174 injects power to the PD without affecting the data transmission performance. The IPOE-E174 offers a cost-effective and quick solution to doubling the standard range of PoE from 100 to 200 meters. The IPOE-E174 is designed in a compact mini box containing 5 RJ45 ports, of which the 1 “PoE IN” port functions as PoE (Data and Power) input and the 4 “PoE OUT” ports on the other side functions as PoE (Data and Power) output. Instead of delivering power over 2-pair twisted UTP – be it End-span (Pin 1,2,3 and 6) or Mid-span (Pin 4,5,7 and 8), it provides the capability to source up to 50 watts of power by using all the four pairs of standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cabling. In the new 4-pair system, two PSE controllers will be used to power both the data pairs and the spare pairs.

To efficiently manage the powered devices, the UPOE-1600G provides simple Web management interface in which administrators can control the system and PoE functions for powered devices. It can automatically detect the power status of each port and show messages on its Web management interface. These features also provide users with a cost-effective way to manage the device via Internet whenever they are at work or at home.

PLANET’s Managed PoE products adopt not only Power over Ethernet technology, but also automated PD monitoring and real-time PoE status. The UPOE-1600G can be configured to monitor connected PD’s status in real time via ping action through the uplinked Ethernet switch. Once the PD stops working and responding, the UPOE-1600G will recycle the PoE port power and bring the PD back to work. It also will greatly enhance the network reliability in that the PoE port will reset the PD power, thus reducing administrator’s management burden.

PoE Schedule for Energy Saving
Under the trend of energy saving worldwide and contributing to environmental protection on the Earth, the UPOE-1600G can effectively control the power supply besides its capability of giving high watts power. The built-in “PoE schedule” function helps you to enable or disable PoE power feeding for each PoE port during specified time intervals and it is a powerful function to help SMBs or enterprises save power and money. It also increases security by powering off PDs that should not be in use during non-business hours.

Advanced PoE Power Output Mode Management
To fill the demand of various powered devices consuming stable PoE power, the UPOE-1600G provides three different PoE power output modes for selection.

Advanced Power Management
To facilitate power management, the UPOE-1600G comes with powerful PoE management features such as over temperature protection, usage threshold alert and auto power allocation to prevent power budget overloading. The PoE power budget can be allocated by priorities or classification and sent alert event logs when power usage reaches the defined threshold.Intelligent LED Indicator for Real-time PoE Usage
The UPOE-1600G helps users to monitor the current status of PoE power usage easily and efficiently by its advanced LED indication. Called “PoE Power Usage”, the front panel of the UPOE-1600G has four green LEDs indicating 150W, 300W, 450W and 600W of PoE power usage.

PLANET has recently announced a complete 60W Ultra PoE Solution, such as 60W Ultra PoE Injector/Splitter, 60W Ultra PoE Extender and 60W Ultra PoE Injector Hub. 60 Watts of Power over 4-pair UTP System
The GSW-1222VUP Ultra PoE solution adopts the IEEE 802.3at PoE standard. Instead of delivering power over 2-pair twisted UTP – be it end-span (Pins 1, 2, 3 and 6) or mid-span (Pins 4, 5, 7 and 8), it provides the capability to source up to 60 watts of power by using all the four pairs of standard Cat.5e/6 Ethernet cabling. In the new 4-pair system, the GSW-1222VUP is able to deliver per port 60watts of power to each remote PoE compliant powered device.

The amount of power capability that the GSW-1222VUP possesses doubles that of the conventional 802.3at PoE, thus making an ideal solution to meeting the growing demand for higher power consuming network PDs, such as:

LCD Monitor for Real-time PoE Usage and System Status Display
The LCD monitor of the GSW-1222VUP clearly shows the PoE loading of each port, total PoE power usage and system status, such as overload, low voltage, over voltage and high temperature. With its brand-new LCD monitor, user is able to obtain detailed information about real-time PoE working condition of the GSW-1222VUP directly. Also the Power Budget Control function helps to prevent power budget overloading.

Flexible and Extendable Two Gigabit Uplink Solution
The GSW-1222VUP provides two extra Gigabit TP ports and two extra Gigabit SFP interfaces. The two Gigabit TP ports support 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper for surveillance network devices such as NVR, video streaming server and NAS to facilitate surveillance management. Or through two Gigabit speed fiber SFP slots, the 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber transceiver is inserted to be uplinked to a backbone switch and monitoring center over a long distance. The distance can be extended from 550m to 2km (multi-mode fiber), or even going up to 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/120km (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber).
